Passport & Citizenship Unit
The Passport & Citizenship Unit is open for appointments Monday through Friday. The Unit is closed to the public on American and British public holidays. More information can be found by selecting your specific passport service from the menu at the left side of this page. Appointments are only scheduled from Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, and on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm .
American Citizen Services & Visa Applicants with Flu-Like Symptoms
If you have an American citizen service appointment or visa appointment and you are experiencing flu-like symptoms which you believe may be related to the H1N1 Flu, please do not come to the U.S. Embassy, London. We will provide priority re-scheduling of your appointment should you need to cancel for this reason as follows:-
• To reschedule U.S. Passport and Citizenship services
• To reschedule U.S. Special Consular Services appointments
• To reschedule Visa appointments
Important Security Announcement
Please do not bring mobile phones or any electronic devices, such as Blackberries, iPods, or PDAs as they are not allowed within the Embassy. We also strongly advise that you do not bring large bags, such as backpacks, suitcases or packages to the interview as there are no storage facilities on Embassy grounds. Applicants who do not follow these instructions will experience considerable delays at the security check point which could result in the interview being cancelled.

If your service does not require a personal appearance, you will be instructed to apply via Royal Mail Special Delivery or via the Embassy's appointed courier service.
