Newsletter For U.S. Military Members and Foreign spouses/Fiancés
The USCIS Field Office London will be issuing a Periodic Newsletter
specifically addressed to military members and their foreign born
spouses/fiancees and children assigned to U.S. military bases in the
United Kingdom and Norway. The Periodic Newsletter will
routinely cover topics on a multitude of immigration issues (obtaining
a visa, green card, naturalization) specific to the military community.

Overseas Military Naturalization
USCIS offices overseas are only authorized to process applications for naturalization for active duty military members. Please see below for information about filing your application, for required forms, and for the Overseas Military Naturalization Request Form. Military members should contact their military legal office if they require more information about filing for Naturalization.

Naturalization Abroad by Spouse of Members of the U.S. Armed Forces
On January 28, 2008, President Bush signed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 (H.R.4986 / Public Law 110-181) into law. Part of that law is a new section 319(e) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) which allows certain eligible spouses of members of the U.S. armed forces to naturalize abroad without traveling to the United States for any part of the naturalization process.
