"When the buying stops, the killing can do too". That’s the message from Dr. Jane Goodall on wildlife trafficking.

The illegal trade in wildlife and wildlife products is a soaring black market worth an estimated $10 billion per year. It’s not only driving many species to the brink of extinction, it has links to organized crime and poses significant human health risks.

For these reasons, the U.S. government has been at the forefront of efforts to reduce demand for wildlife products as well as increase law enforcement through leadership and cooperation mechanisms such as the Coalition Against Wildlife Trafficking (CAWT).

Noted conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall and founder of the Jane Goodall Institute provides two public service announcements to raise awareness of illegal wildlife trafficking.
