Senator Kerry Tours U.S. Embassy in London

Senator Kerry visited the U.S. Embassy in London's Grosvenor Square today. While there he viewed the Embassy's Lincoln exhibit which celebrates the Lincoln Bicentennial.

Senator Kerry toured the Consular section to thank officers and staff for all their hard work. Consul General Derwood Staeben led the tour and briefed the senator on the scale and duties of the section, one of the largest and busiest in the world.

Senator Kerry reads the inscription on what is believed to be the original working model of Daniel Chester French's famous sculpture of Abraham Lincoln located in Washington D.C.'s Lincoln Memorial.
