10 November 2010 "Picture The Friendship" Facebook Contest   The U.S. Embassy Facebook Page is asking fans to “Picture the Friendship” between the United States and United Kingdom. Fans have until November 29 to submit their image of what best represents the bonds between the UK and the U.S.

05 November 2010 VIDEO - Bringing New American Jazz Improv to the Bernie Grant Arts Centre    Napoleon Maddox & IsWhat?!, a hip-hop/Jazz group from the United States host a workshop for young musicians during their recent trip to the UK.

14 September 2010 A Celebration Marking Eid al-Fitr Muslim community leaders from throughout the United Kingdom gathered with Ambassador and Mrs. Susman at Winfield House on September 14 for a reception to commemorate the conclusion of Ramadan.

10 September 2010 U.S. Embassy Volunteers Commemorate September 11th at Battersea Park's 'American Ground'   Nearly 100 U.S. Embassy volunteers will participate in a Day of Service event to commemorate September 11th.  Volunteers will restore the ‘American Ground,’ a 19th century garden in Battersea Park that will benefit from upgrading.   The project, planned in conjunction with Wandsworth Council and Thrive, is the latest event in the Embassy’s ongoing volunteering program to build bridges with our future community in Wandsworth. The project is close to the location of the new U.S. Embassy site in Nine Elms.

22 June 2010 Battersea Park Library Exhibit Showcases New Embassy Design    Battersea Park library hosted an exhibition showing the winning design for the new American embassy planned for Nine Elms as part of this month's London Festival of Architecture.  Embassy press attaché Philip Breeden gave a talk at the library to 40 local residents to outline how the Nine Elms site was chosen, how the design was developed, and how the new building hopes to contribute to the Nine Elms regeneration project.

11 May 2010 Simon Wiesenthal Center Premiers Winston Churchill: Walking With Destiny at U.S. Embassy London   Ambassador and Mrs. Susman hosted the event alongside the Founder and Dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Rabbi Marvin Hier. The night celebrated the 70th anniversary of Winston Churchill accepting the role of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

16 April 2010 Bristol Community Celebrates Social Cohesion through Music with Help of U.S. Embassy  From April 12-16, eighteen Fairfield High School students from diverse backgrounds learned improvisational techniques and traditional music skills such as rhythm, pitch and melody during a weeklong songwriting workshop aimed at encouraging individual creativity and community cohesion through music.  Three instructors from the U.S.-based Modern Improvisational Music Association (MIMA), with funding from the U.S. Embassy, led the workshops, in partnership with Bristol’s American-born High Sheriff Peaches Golding, OBE.

15 January 2010 U.S. Embassy London Commemorates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  The United States Embassy will commemorate the life and work of civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through two events honoring his legacy on Monday, January 18, 2010.  In the morning U.S. Ambassador Louis Susman and embassy staff will participate in a volunteer event at St. Matthias Church in Poplar and in the afternoon Ambassador Susman will host prominent civil rights activists and students for a memorial concert and reading at his residence.
