The White House announced that Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will be hosted by President Bush in Washington November 2.
According to a statement issued by White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan, the visit by the royal couple marks the duchess’ first foreign trip as a representative of the United Kingdom, which McClellan described as “one of America's closest friends and allies, and ... a leading partner in the cause of freedom.”
