20 March 2007 Ambassador Welcomes British-American Project to U.S. Embassy
Ambassador Robert Tuttle welcomed 60 Fellows of the
British-American Project to the U.S. Embassy in London on March 20 for a discussion of U.S. foreign policy, moderated by BBC News 24 anchor and BAP Fellow Jane Hill. The Ambassador talked about U.S. policy in Iraq, climate change, prospects for U.S.-UK relations following the expected change in political leadership in the UK, U.S. domestic policies, and the Ambassador's travels to communities throughout the UK.
BAP, established in 1985, exists to maintain and enrich the long-standing relationship between Britain and the United States. Its current membership, over 1,000 Britons and Americans, looks for ways to reinforce trans-Atlantic ties by bringing together Americans and Britons who have achieved distinction in a broad range of fields and who represent a variety of viewpoints.
