22 March 2007 Ambassador and Mrs. Tuttle Visit Sheffield
Ambassador and Mrs. Tuttle visited Sheffield on March 22, 2007. The busy day in the city included a visit to the University of Sheffield. At the University, they met with Vice-Chancellor Bob Boucher, toured research labs in the Department of Animal and Plant Sciences, and met with a group of students. While in Sheffield, Ambassador and Mrs. Tuttle visited the new Islamic Centre & Madina Mosque. Following a tour of the facility, they met with members of the local Muslim community. The day ended with a walking tour through the "Heart of the City," and a meeting with Lord Mayor Jackie Drayton.
