White House Announces Intent To Nominate David T. Johnson as Assistant Secretary of State (International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs)

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate David T. Johnson, of Georgia, to be Assistant Secretary of State (International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs).

Mr. Johnson currently serves as Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in London.

Prior to this, he served as United States Coordinator for Afghanistan at the Department of State. Earlier in his career, he served as United States Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. Mr. Johnson received his bachelor's degree from Emory University.
