Press Release from the Department of State

15 November 2007
Media Coverage of International Meeting

As announced, President of the United States George W. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice look forward to an international meeting later this fall focused on supporting the efforts of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to realize President Bush's vision of two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, living side-by-side in peace and security.

Although the dates and times of the meeting will be announced subsequently, the Department of State's Bureau of Public Affairs will begin the accreditation process now to accommodate the large number of press expected to attend. Further information on the distribution of media credentials and date, location, and other details on the meeting will be provided after arrangements are confirmed.

Accreditation is a two step process.

Step One:
Media Representatives must apply for accreditation using the form online at http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/95325.pdf .

  • fill out the application form on-line,
  • attach a JPG ID card format picture to the form, and
  • e-mail both to: presscredentials@state.gov

To submit the form via email, Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0 or higher is required. It is available for download at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readerstepw.html . Please note that requests received without a JPG format ID-size photograph attached will be rejected.

Step Two:
Event credentials will be issued by Public Affairs staff prior to the meeting at the Naval Academy Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland. The dates and times of issuance will be provided separately. To collect the event credential, media representatives must:

  • appear in person at the Naval Academy stadium
  • present a valid press identification card, and
  • present a valid passport or U.S. driver's license
