My passport accidentally ended up in the washing machine and is badly damaged, especially the page containing my visa. Can I still use the passport and will the visa be valid for travel to the United States?

Can I call to schedule an appointment during the holiday season?

The Operator Assisted Information Service is closed from December 25 until  December 28, 2009 and on January 1 and 2nd, 2010.  On December 24 and 31st, it will close early at 4:00 pm. In general, the Service in available on U.S. public holidays, but closed on U.K. public holidays.  The service will be available on November 11 and November 26.

I have been reading the blogs about DV-2011. I have received an email telling me that my application to register for the last lottery has been successful. Is this genunine?

I have just found a website that is charging a fee to register for DV-2011. Will this increase my chances if I register through this website?
